IIDA Southwest Design Awards 2022

After celebrating a milestone anniversary year and coupled with self reflection allowed by a global pandemic, the IIDA Planning Committee is seeking a name change for P.R.I.D.E.  The Committee believes this change will better align our event name with the event mission and add clarity for the public on the event’s purpose to accelerate our event’s success.The current name suffers from brand confusion and is commonly mistaken with a similar name referring to Global Pride, an event that celebrates the LGBT community.  The Committee’s challenge each year has been to educate the public and create a greater differentiation between the two similarly named events.

The new name change proposed, IIDA Southwest Design Awards, will align our event with our mission to celebrate design excellence. It links the event to our international organization IIDA, our local Southwest Chapter, and clearly defines our purpose.
